Rex AKA Wesley 2

Here's Welsey again! It's been a year since his adoption. His nose fur/color is starting to grow back, hopefully it'll be completely back to normal in a year or two!

He still gets anxious with strange dogs but that's okay! Any progress is considered good progress to me, although it can get annoying playing babysitter in public so much! He doesn't seem to understand that my cats don't play tug/frisbee either, but it's still adorable watching him try to teach them.

Here's to a good life with Wesley and my two cats!

Rex AKA Wesley

Wesley is doing AMAZING. What a great dog! His previous owners named him Rex, but he seems to enjoy his new name. We've had him for a little more than a week now and he is absolutely thriving with his obedience and dog training classes. He's still very excitable (even when he's all worn out!) and loves to be around people.

Even though he hasn't been cat tested, he does great with my two cats! My two cats have taken a liking to him too and can't stay out of my room! He's still getting use to dogs, but as long as they're well behaved he has no problem.

Wesley is my little adventure partner! I can't wait to train him in flyball and agility, he has so much energy and can RUN!

Thank you so much for all you've done for Wesley and all other dogs in your rescue!

Burdie new home

She was named Matrix by the foster family, but Burdie was a better fit for a name. She was shy and scared, but from day 1 she knew were were her new family. My grandson Adrian who is 8 plays with her and she goes for walks everyday, and looks forward to them. I play fetch with her and she loves it. Burdie has gained about 7 lbs and is a very happy girl. She is very smart and we work on commands everyday. Burdie loves balls and sqeek toys, to we have a very large collection. Our house is now full of activity since she became part of our family. We are very happy she is part of our family.

Leslie & Levi

December 28, 2003, I adopted "Tommy", and promptly renamed him Levi. (Kathy C., don't know if you're still volunteering with SBPR, but you were the representative to assist us nine years ago!) Levi continues to thrive in our home, and he's been a very special companion to me the last nine years. I've battled clinical depression a long time. Levi is constantly with me at home. No matter how I'm feeling or what kind of day I'm having Levi is there for me. In my office, he's curled up at my feet under the desk (where he is now). On the couch he's right beside me or in my lap. We go for walks together, and Levi is a forever friend to anyone who will throw his ball for him! He threatens to "eat" the UPS man, and patiently waits for his pizza crust when my husband is enjoying pizza & a movie. When the day is done, you'll find Levi right next to my head while I'm sleeping.
Like the car "paw" sticker says, "Who Rescued Whom?"
Thank you SBPR.
Thank you Chuck for supporting me and letting me adopt Levi.
He's the BEST k-9 buddy ever!

Happy

So sorry for the double post - I couldn't figure out how to edit my previous submission. I failed to include: Thank you SBPR! From Kim and GG

(I included her picture from the day I took her home, too. She was totally shaved down, so darn cute.)

Happy anniversary GG (aka Sassy)

How time flies! I can't believe I've had this gorgeous little girl in my life for a year now. Georgie Girl has truly blossomed. She still has her little sassy attitude. My parents moved here from the east coast and and they have been loving her up. She has them wrapped around her paw (can you say two hour belly rubs?!) And she's so smart! She's finished basic training 1 and 2, tricks (sit pretty, roll over, high five, turn left/turn right, and more), and Rally 1. Next I think we'll try nose work – she loves to sniff! She brings so much joy into our lives.
