Our first year with Danny Boy a.k.a. "Pip"

Hi everyone at SBPR. Today our family celebrates its first year with Danny Boy... a.k.a. "Pip" the Irish Setter. We can't believe it has been a year already. The Marconi/Browning family would like to thank everyone at SBPR in all that you do for these future family members. Danny has been such a great addition to our family.

We also want you to know that Dan has a really good life with us. He goes to the dog park daily. Most of the time it is at Golden Gate Dog park in San Francisco where he plays with all his dog friends. He also love all his human friends too. But his very special friend is Lana, who is also from SBPR too. If they aren't playing ball together, they are having sleep overs and playing. This past Hallowe en Dan went as a banana and Lana went as a monkey. They also go to other inclosed dog parks in the city or in Mill Valley.

After 2-3 hours at the park Dan comes home to great all the humans in the house were he gets spoiled. He either runs around the yard or takes a nap. After that he has dinner with his big sis, Lou who he just loves. (Lou gets a little up set with him because she is 12yrs. old and doesn't really want to play "paws in my face" with Dan), but she likes it when they sleep next to each other and Dan puts his head on her back. I think she likes it best when he is tired from the park.

Dan has come a long way in a year. He still has problems going for walks on a leash. We have worked with our trainer on this problem and it is just going to take some time. He is just so nervous on leash. He has gott en much better about jumping up on people at the park and at home. He is very good at play. He has his buddies he plays with and when he plays with small dogs he is great.

But most of all, Dan is just so loving and funny. When we go to the park he licks the car windows until we get there. I can see other drives laughing their heads off. Every morning he brings Grandma his toy when she comes out of her room with her walker.

Thank you so much for Danny Boy. It has been a great first year and we are looking forward to many more.
